Ultrasonic Testing and Time-of-Flight Diffraction (TOFD)

Olivier International performs conventional ultrasonic testing (UT) and time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD) for applicable welds and components. UT evaluates reflected sound to locate discontinuities and measure thickness, while TOFD uses diffracted signals from flaw tips to support through-wall sizing; code coverage, material, geometry, calibration, and near-surface limitations determine the final technique.
