Vacuum Box Testing
Vacuum box testing is a non-destructive testing method that uses a vacuum box and a soap solution to detect leaks in welds and other pressure boundaries, such as those found in tanks, pipelines, and other industrial structures. By creating a low-pressure environment under the box, any gas escaping through a leak will form bubbles in the soap solution, visually indicating the location and size of the defect. This technique is particularly useful for testing welded joints or other areas that cannot be directly pressurized.
